Paradise Animals Cover

In the last issue of OTM, we got the very exciting chance to sit down with the new Toronto foursome Paradise Animals. Having just released their debut EP in March of this year, with a sold out release show, the band was (and still is) making waves with their melancholic folk pop sounds.

Now ready to move on to their next venture, the group has released a cover of the classic Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy track Wolf Among Wolves. In true Paradise Animals fashion, the track blends vocalist’s Mark Andrade’s unique low tone to the famous track giving it a dreamy feel – perfect for those lazy summer days in the park.

It’s also the perfect track to get addicted to as we wait for the band to release their follow-up EP due out in Fall 2012. When we spoke to them earlier this year they let us know that we could expect more covers and some completely new sounds, with a warning to not get too comfortable.

As we wait for more, listeners can download the free track from now until their NXNE performance where they will hit the stage with their newest member and drummer Morgan Doctor. You can catch them at 10pm on June 15th at the El Mocambo. Happy listening!
