Jane’s Party at Cameron House

Jane’s Party have been spoiling their fans for a while now, playing a ton of shows around the city since we first talked to them back in our Summer 2012 Issue. This past weekend, they treated their not-so-19 listeners – or anyone who wanted to kick off their Saturday night with a bunch of great tunes – with an early, all-ages show at the Cameron House.

Right off the bat, it was clear that this was the show that was going to keep on giving. The first half of their two-hour set was devoted to the new songs that will be making up their upcoming full-length, which is set to be released early next year. You know, as if we didn’t have enough reason to be excited about the album. I’m sure I can’t be the only person itching to add these songs to my music collection after actually getting to hear them.

The boys kept things familiar for the second half of their set, playing a mix of their already released (and loved) songs, with a few solid covers thrown in for good measure.

And it doesn’t look like JP are slowing down as 2012 comes to an end. You can already catch them again on November 28 at the Supermarket and on December 1 at the Horseshoe.
