SHARE: Outclass SS12

Spring has sprung and so has Outclass’ SS 2012 collection. For those who don’t know, I had the pleasure of interviewing Matteo Sgaramella of Outclass for the Winter 2011 Issue. Outclass is a Canadian made menswear brand developed solely by Sgaramella, providing the sophisticated population of men in Toronto with a breath of fresh air. Influenced by the aesthetics of the past and durability, Outclass appeals to men in search of garments with an impeccable attention to detail and a contemporary fit.

The Spring/Summer 2012 collection has been curated to stand out yet also blend in with existing palettes in most wardrobes. While once again injecting a high level of quality into his designs, this OCAD graduate found himself inspired by contemporary Canadian culture hit with a slight Mediterranean influence for Spring. The collection includes breezy shirts and refined trousers complimented by colourful neckwear and rugged leather accessories. All of the pieces showcase historical design practices that are sure to stand the test of time.

The collection has created quite the hype among the Toronto menswear scene and Matteo is surely one to watch in upcoming seasons.
